BAYER Science lab for children opened its doors at the National museum “Earth and Men” for the second consecutive year

The Science lab for applied and fun chemistry and biology which attracted the interest of hundreds of kids in 2015 was officially opened on 12 October 2016. The initiative will last 10 days. Volunteers from Bayer Bulgaria and Leaders of the Natural sciences olympic teams association will demonstrate to students from primary and secondary schools in Sofia interesting experiments that aim to show the entertaining aspects of chemistry and biology. More than 650 children are expected to visit Bayer Science lab in 2016.

“I would like to congratulate you on the opening of Bayer Science lab, which for a second year will gather children at aged from 9 to12 years. I believe that during the sessions the children will have the opportunity to see the entertaining aspects of chemistry and biology. Bulgaria can become competitive country only by investing in the children, their knowledge, skills and talents” said the minister of Education and Science Meglena Kuneva shared in a special congratulatory address.

For a second year, the project will be implemented with the support of the Regional Education, Sofia City and with the friendly support of the Leaders of the Natural sciences olympic teams association.

In 2016 the initiative Bayer Science Lab ranked second in two of the categories of the awards organized by the Bulgarian Association of PR Agencies – Sustainable Development Campaign and Special Event of the Year.
