IBM shows hardware products and solutions on board of IBM STG Truck

The IBM Roadshow Technology Truck, which tours Europe extensively, is visiting Sofia this week. Official press conference marked the start of the technology exhibition. Mr. Kalin Dimchev, Country Sales Manager IBM Bulgaria, welcomed guests and journalists on board.

Better results in school with interactive education

At the beginning of 2013 Always donated interactive classroom equipment for 10 Bulgarian schools

At the beginning of 2013 Always with the support of the Bulgarian Ministry for Education, Youth and Science, gave a helping hand to improve the educational facilities in 10 Bulgarian schools with low financial resources. The equipped classrooms will be used for classes of different subjects and only for students’ education.

Always equips interactive classrooms in 10 Bulgarian schools

According to the 2011 CKOKO/PISA Report, Testing Cycle 2008-2009, published on the PISA National Center site, on the performance of 15 year-old Bulgarian students, aprox. 40% of the teenagers have difficulty of understanding of the text that was read (the capacity to comprehend a text). Aprox. 40% of the students can’t meet the minimum conditions of comprehension, for a small, syntactical simple paragraph. They are not able to identify its main idea and can’t make a connection between the information provided by the text and common, day by day, knowledge.

Always UNESCO Campaign – News Release Join Always In Enabling Girls’ Literacy In Africa

Thousands more young women in Senegal will be offered the opportunity to be part of a literacy program, thanks to the strong partnership between leading feminine care brand Always and UNESCO. We are excited to invite young Bulgarian women to join the movement to make a difference to their own and other’s lives. We are aiming to raise funds for 40,000 Senegalese girls and women to learn basic skills such as reading and writing. This collaboration between Always and UNESCO was almost a “natural” fit as both parties share the same purpose of “girls’ and women’s empowerment”.

The Dutch St. Nicholas arrived on port Burgas

On the 2nd December, on port Burgas arrived St. Nicholas – Sinterklaas. The long expected guest was welcomed by the mayor of the city Dimitar Nikolov, the Dutch Ambassador Karel van Kesteren, children, parents and journalists.

Sinterklaas is the Dutch Saint Nicholas – the patron of the sailors. Traditionally he arrives in the Netherlands each year in mid-November by steamboat from Spain. The saying believes that Spanish sailors have brought the legend for Sinterklaas.  The celebration in the Netherlands is so noticeable that even the whole royal family welcomes them on the shore. Sinterklaas travels with his helpers - Black Peter (Zwarte Piet)  who stock up on presents for the children.
